"It's not what you know, it's who you know" was the first of my realistic approaches to this case study. When looking for a company who I felt offered the whole experience, one in which I had access to and first hand experience, Lush was this lightbulb, the "AHhhha!" moment.
Before I get into Lush and my obsession for the company and the experiences I have had there, let me outline how I plan to dissect the company from the outside in.
Using my network of managers and employee friends with the Lush brand, I plan to look get a Realistic Job Preview and how those individuals are motivated and empowered to carry on the Lush name, and the lifestyle its members and customers take on.
Through meeting with managers (hopefully more than one) and the friends who have grown and experiences the back of house operations, I hope to demystify the inner workers of Lush and come out with a better understanding of this great company's values, as they implement and execute the Refresh, Connect, and Energize aspects that truly make up the guest experience.

In addition to looking at their operational and management practices, through the lens of the 18 leadership practices in those areas, outside research and understanding of best practices as used through other companies in different indursties will hopefully highlight this company as one of the Greats.
